Residents - due to recent misidentified reports of Giant Hogweed in Prince Rupert, we are providing some information about how to identify Giant Hogweed (invasive) versus Cow Parsnip (native species), and also how to handle Cow Parsnip if/when you come into contact with it. Contact with either plant can lead to adverse skin reactions.

As part of the City’s capital paving program, Adventure Paving has commenced with milling George Hills Way and Drydock Road. We apologize that more advanced notice was not provided, but the project schedule was advanced unexpectedly.
Please be advised that 6th street between 1st Avenue West and 2nd Avenue West (the road between Tim Hortons and the Prestige Hotel) will be subject to alternating lane closures during paving activities this week. The airport shuttle service has also been notified of the activities, which will not impact any drop off/pick up today (July 9th). Please obey all posted traffic signage and controllers.
