This past fall we heard from organizations, parents and child care providers on local child care needs, challenges and opportunities. This feedback was instrumental in shaping the development of the City of Prince Rupert Child Care Assessment & Action Plan project.

PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. – The City’s Economic Development Office is now accepting applications for the 2020 intake for the Business Façade program. This program provides financial support to local businesses to complete exterior improvements, focusing on the commercial areas of the community.

Someone has stolen something from you that costs less than $5000

Someone has vandalized your property or vehicle and it will cost less than $5000 to repair it

With the winter season upon us, our City crews are out in full force addressing priority areas, and we ask that residents and businesses do their part to clear the areas in front of your home or business.

At approximately 10 am this morning, the City’s Fire Department responded to an incident involving the Bunker C fuel tank in the Moresby area.  In the contractor’s process of dismantling the tank, a flare up occurred, which the Fire Department was able to address through the use of foam to douse the flames. No one was injured during the incident, and there was no release of product into the surrounding environment.
